VIC: Man dies after driving into tree in eastern Victoria
MELBOURNE, April 14 AAP - A 38-year-old man was killed when his car skidded off a road and
ran into a tree at Stratford in eastern Victoria last night.
The man was driving his blue BMW sedan east along Stradbroke Road, about five kilometres
east of the Stratford Briagolong Road at about 8.20pm, a police spokeswoman said.
She said it appeared the man skidded across the west bound lane and into a large tree at
the side of the road.
He died at the scene.
His name has not been released.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the accident.
The death brings the state's road toll to 102; three less than the same time last year.
