Tas: Two die in single car smash in south Tasmania
HOBART, Feb 15 AAP - A 49-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man died in a single-vehicle
accident on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania's south last night.
The accident occurred when the driver of a White 1992 Daihatsu Sedan lost control on
Saltwater River Road, Premaydena, where the vehicle rolled and landed upside down in a
creek about 8.30pm (AEDT).
Police said the woman, from Sloping Main, and the man, from Sandford, both died at the scene.
The third occupant of the vehicle, a 19-year-old male from West Moonah, escaped from the vehicle.
No names have been released.
